How I Test Deliveries
Before I write about a service, I order from it on a real occasion. Birthdays, funerals, baby showers. I photograph what arrives next to the original listing photo on the same screen, note any substitutions and vase quality changes, and log the timing against the promised delivery window. No comp orders, no press samples. If what arrives is not worth recommending, I don't publish.
How I Make Money
Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you order through one, the delivery service pays me a commission at no extra cost to you. The commission doesn't decide what gets covered or what the review says. A service that swaps carnations for the peonies you ordered for a funeral gets that story in the review, commission or not.
Using What I Publish
Recommendations here represent my experience ordering from Pittsburgh to recipients across the Midwest and East Coast. Flower delivery reliability varies by zip code, season, and local florist network in ways I can't predict from where I'm sitting. If you're ordering for a funeral or for someone with known allergies, check the substitution policy directly with the service before you place the order.
